Pastor Luke was born and raised in York, South Carolina, in a loving Christian home. He trusted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior on June 27, 2011, at Eastview Baptist Church in Rock Hill. At the age of thirteen, Luke sensed God’s call to ministry and soon preached his first sermon at Woodward Baptist Church in Chester.
After graduating from York Comprehensive High School, Luke attended Fruitland Baptist Bible College, where he had the opportunity to preach and serve wherever the Lord opened doors. Following his graduation in 2023, he served as an intern at Woodward Baptist Church, gaining valuable experience in pastoral ministry and the life of the local church. Luke continued his education at Leavell College, the undergraduate school of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Church Ministry in December 2025. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry through New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
In April 2024, Luke began serving at Mt. Zion Baptist Church during a season of pastoral transition. In August 2024, the church called him to serve as pastor. Luke and his wife, Chyloe, joyfully serve the Lord together at Mt. Zion and are raising their family in the Great Falls community.
Pastor Luke is passionate about faithfully preaching the Word of God, shepherding the local church, and seeing lives transformed by the Gospel. His desire is to see Mt. Zion remain faithful to Christ, reach its community with the hope of the Gospel, and equip believers to live for His glory.
